Evening Sanctuary: Restorative Yoga + Sound Healing

July 27, 2020

This summer I have had the pleasure of collaborating with my friend and Sound Healing Artist Pamela Robins in teaching a combined class; a gentle restorative yoga practice followed by a nourishing sound healing session that together calms the body and mind.

Pamela and I met each other while teaching at The Den Meditation studio.  We taught our respective classes of Restorative Yoga and Sound Healing back to back and noticed that many of our students would take my class first and then stay for her class. When our lives transitioned online, we decided to combine our healing teachings into one fluid 75-minute session allowing for a deep and relaxing practice.

We begin our class with an introduction of our personal backgrounds followed by a virtual opening circle with students sharing via Zoom chat what brought them to class.  I truly love the sharing of chat comments for it has become the “new normal”  for building community online and learning how my students are feeling physically and mentally during these uncertain times.

I hope you will join and enjoy my next collaborative session with Pamela on July 30th.  My intention is that you will leave the class feeling rested, relaxed, and calm.  For a description of this class and to sign-up, click here for full details.

Be at Peace.

Welcome

July 01, 2020

Welcome.

I am truly excited to write my inaugural post for Yeung Yogini!  For the last two years, I have been wanting to launch a website to share my Style & Serenity concept, but held off because of a lack of time, a hectic work and travel schedule, and social commitments.

Now spending most of my time at home during the pandemic, I’ve been able to recharge after leaving a demanding full-time job, reflect on my life intentions, & refocus my attention to teaching yoga and helping my students feel grounded and calm during these uncertain times.

My husband Adam, our pup Penny, and I have been spending quite a bit of time in the backyard which has given me a renewed appreciation for our home and enjoying the outdoor space and sweet delicious tangerines that came to bloom this spring. As we head into the summer months, I look forward to sharing my lessons in gratitude, stylish picks, and to virtually connect with you. Wishing you health, wellness, and serenity.

Be at Peace.

xx May
